“A Calzón Quita’o” is a Colombian podcast produced by PIA Podcast, launched in 2019. Its main focus is to openly discuss topics related to sexuality, relationships, and personal experiences from an honest and taboo-free perspective. The podcast is hosted by María E., Naty Gabanzo, and Roo Ji, who engage listeners with a relaxed, educational, and entertaining tone.
The goal of this podcast is to educate, normalize conversations about intimate topics, and eliminate prejudices within Latin culture. It seeks to create a safe space for discussing issues related to sexuality, relationship dynamics, and personal experiences, fostering empathy, learning, and reflection among its audience. Additionally, it aims to emotionally connect with listeners through relatable anecdotes and everyday topics, approached in a fun and approachable manner.
Problem Statement:
The podcast “A Calzón Quitao” faced the challenge of lacking a cohesive and professional visual identity to support its content. Although its unique, taboo-free approach to topics like sexuality and relationships resonated with an audience seeking honest conversations, the absence of proper graphic materials and merchandising limited its visibility. There were no consistent graphic elements to be used on social media, promotional materials, or at events, which hindered brand recognition and expansion.
Goal Statement:
The goal of this project was to develop a comprehensive visual identity for “A Calzón Quitao,” which included not only graphic materials for social media (banners, posts, stickers) but also the creation of merch. The aim was to strengthen the brand’s presence at all touchpoints with the target audience, ensuring the podcast had a cohesive, appealing, and professional image across digital platforms, physical products, and live events. Additionally, the project sought to build a stronger connection with the audience, increase brand recognition, and support the podcast’s expansion.
